Getting started
Can I import my existing orders?
Not yet, and we would rather tell you now than after you have signed up. Importing a spreadsheet is the next thing being built. Today you would enter the orders you have on the books, which for most shops is an evening — and there is no need to bring across anything already collected.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in the browser you already have. Nothing to download, no app store, no new hardware.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The list view of the order book is built for a phone specifically, because that is what you look at on a delivery run. The month calendar needs more width and side-scrolls on a small screen, which is why the toggle is right there.
How long until I can take an order?
Minutes. You tell us your shop name, your trade, and roughly how much you can make in a day; the pipeline stages and the order form come already set up for your trade, and you change them later if they are not right.
Your data
What happens to my data if I leave?
It is yours. You can export your orders and customers as a spreadsheet at any time, including after you cancel, and you can ask us to delete the lot by emailing support. We do not hold your order book hostage to keep you subscribed.
Can other shops see my orders?
No. Every record belongs to one business and the app refuses to run a query that has not been told which business it is for — it fails loudly rather than quietly returning everything. It is the part of the code we test hardest.
What about my customers' details?
They are your customers, not ours. We hold their details only to run the order book for you and to send the "it is ready" email on your behalf. We do not market to them and we do not sell anything to anyone.
Day to day
What if I want to take more orders than the ceiling?
Then take them. The ceiling warns you, it does not stop you. Every shop has a day where they say yes to one more, and software that refuses is software you start working around.
Can I turn the customer emails off?
Yes, for the whole shop, in one switch. Plenty of people would rather ring the customer themselves and that is a perfectly good way to run a shop.
Do you do run sheets and delivery routes?
Not yet. Printed run sheets and bench dockets are being built now — they are the reason for the name — and delivery run planning comes after. Today the order book will show you everything promised for a given day on one screen, which is most of the way there, but it does not print a route.
Is my trade supported?
If you take orders now for a date later and can only make so many in a day, yes. Florists are what we have built and tested hardest. Cake makers, butchers, picture framers and bike workshops are configured and working, each with their own wording and stages.
